i-Watch Members are encouraged to place the InfringementWatch.org suite of icons, logos & banners throughout their websites and to authorize their placement as well on pages containing their work anywhere on the World Wide Web. It generally works best for the specific .jpeg or .gif file to be copied from this page and served from the same machine that serves the page on which it appears. There are three excellent reasons for InfringementWatch.org Members to display one or more i-Watch images wherever their work is exhibited. 1. Visitors note that the copyright owner is serious in his intentions to exercise his rights to control the use and exhibition of his work. 2. Anyone with questions or curiosity about just what is allowed (or the possible consequences of infringement) is provided an easy path to a full explanation of copyright, enforcement and penalties. 3. More Icons & Logos appear below! How to copy images: PC users: Right-click on the image and choose "Save Picture/Image As". Mac users: Click and hold down over the image and choose "Save This Image As". If you are using Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer, first place the cursor above the image you want to copy. Next, if you are using a PC or Unix-based system, click and hold down the right mouse button; on a Mac, hold down the single mouse button. A small popup menu will appear after a few seconds, offering you a "Save as..." or "Download image..." option to save a copy of the image to your local hard drive. AOL users: Your graphics can be read as compressed images, which may cause problems in displaying tem properly. You'll need to make sure you are "in AOL." Now go to "My AOL," select Preferences, and then select WWW. Turn off the Use-Compressed-Images option. Finally, select the Empty-Cache-Now button. After you download a graphic, you'll want to upload that graphic to your website host so that it will be stored on your Web server. Visit your site host's online documentation to learn what steps are necessary for uploading your HTML files and graphics.
